There are many water sport possibilities and activities to enjoy around Bahia Salinas:
First of all KITEBOARDING of course, but not only: sea kayaking, snorkeling, horse back riding, ATV rentals, SUP (stand up paddle boards), boat tours at Bolanos island, scuba diving and sport fishing are available. These activities are organized by local tours operators but some of them are possible to be reserved through us
Horse Back Ride Tour 2 hour
– Gallery Dry Forest Trails –
Staff will introduce to your horse that will become your friend for the next couple hours and make you relish. The guides will give you a small safety briefing & instructions, please pay careful attention because this will make your tour go smoothly and enjoyable always.
The Journey starts when you get on the horse and get out of the “Corral” where you will experience the nature of the tropical dry forest, this is different from any other type of forest you’ll ever be in, since this is a little part of Guanacaste, this is one of the last places in the world where this this type of forest exists. You will see some cattle along the way but also you will see monkeys (howler, spider, and whiteface), birds and iguanas, even sometimes we get to see deer, we can also spot some big cats tracks on the way, plus raccoons, peccaries and agoutis hiding some seeds for a later meal.
Once we went through the forest and some hills with beautiful views to the ocean, we will arrive to an old Cowboy House of the Hacienda called el “Chagüite”, which is how the locals call the Banana/Plantains Plantations, and you can enjoy spectacular views to the Salinas Bay making this a beautiful and relaxing spot, perfect to cool down after the unique “Aventura” you just had, making this a secluded place to watch the sunset if you are caught between.
UTV / ATV 2hrs Tour
– Mountains Trails –
This tour has a wide range of terrains where we will start off by giving you clear instructions on how to drive the UTV/ ATV’s and giving you all the safety gear, our guides will take you for a test drive and we will consider whether you can or not drive in different areas within the Hacienda.
We will start the adventure by going in the nature trails and start observing the wild life in the trees and surroundings. Monkeys, birds, iguanas and much other wildlife can be spotted along the way. Remember you are at a Hacienda so you might want to keep an eye on the “Sabaneros” (cowboys) and wave at them as they are friendly people!
With the UTVs you will enjoy with your family, your children and/or friends from 2 up to 4 people, share your experience while driving and laugh together getting muddy during the rainy season and the dry season opens to an easier driving with many opportunities to spot wild live or just enjoy a nice drive through the ranch’s old trails.
These tours include bottled water along with a lot of fun. We will take to the highest sight points to breath taking views of Bahia Salinas and if lucky enough and late afternoon, we might be able to enjoy the so long famous and stunning sunsets!
